A Weekend at the Lake

After Taylor and I camped in Tyler and Jessica's backyard (they didn't camp because of their kid), we decided to get up and go to Payson Lake. Quite the adventure trying to find the place! We got pretty lost on the way. However, we finally made it and had a really fun day. It's great to have family that lives close and is fun to do things with!

Cute face!
He was such a cutie! He kept waving "good-bye" to us! I love this picture.

Tired boy!

Tyler decided to go for a swim.

Goodbye Kindergarten!

I really can't believe Landon is done with kindergarten! He did so well in school and I had so much fun helping out in his class each week. They had a little presentation and art show the last week of school that the boys and I went to.

Mrs. Parmenter was an AMAZING teacher! I loved her and I'm so glad Landon got in her class. She told one thing she loved about each student. About Landon she said that he was usually very quiet but every once in a while he'd be on the floor playing and would let out this adorable little giggle out of nowhere. She never knew why he was giggling but she loved it and said he just has such a joyous outlook on life. I couldn't agree with her more! :)

I love my little Landon and it's so fun watching him grow. The self portraits below were done at the beginning and end of the school year. His artistic abilities have definitely improved! :P

Best. Sumer. Ever.

This school year has been a busy one. Lots of driving around and and different schedules for each of the kids. So I'm kinda glad that summer is here! We love having stuff to do during the summer so the kids and I came up with a big ole bucket list and I got a 16x20 print at sams club.

On the last day of school the kids came home to a big basket full of stuff to get us through the summer. The kids were so excited and I'm hoping this will help us have a fun summer full of memories. :)

YO It's Connor's 1st Birthday!

Hello All!  As many of you know, we had Connor's 1st Birthday Party yesterday!  It was so much fun!  It was so great to have both sides come out to celebrate our wee boy.  He made it through 1 whole year with me as his Mom & Tyler as his dad.  Woohoo!

My mom made this cute bunting for the party!
My mom did so much to help me out with the party!  I didn't realize how much work it would be!  I am so glad that she was here to help me with it!  She is the BEST!

Here was a bunch of photos from Connor's 1st year of life.

All of Connor's friends were able to make it to the party! Good thing his favorite TV show has characters easy enough to draw!  Thanks to some poster board and some sharpie, the whole gang was there.  It took me all afternoon/evening to do the night before, but when Connor saw them on the wall, it was well worth all the time and effort it took to make those bad boys! He was so excited!

For lunch we had a hot dog bar.  It turned out better than I had hoped that it would!  It was quite a hit!  I even wrote up some suggestions about what toppings to use on some of the dogs.  The ideas came from some local hot dog joints.  There were so many choices - and not enough stomach room to try them all!

Birthday Boy with a runny nose!

Yay for aunts & uncles!

I am so glad that we have a backyard!  We had enough shade under our trees to have people eat outside on blankets.  It was SUCH a nice day!  We were lucky it wasn't blazin' hot.
Cousins, aunt & Grandma

More cousins! Yay!

Present time!

Connor got so many awesome gifts!  He loves them all!  Aunt Meagan got him a very typical Meagan gift!  A HAT!  Look how cute he is in it!  I love it!  Hats should be the traditional gift from Aunt Meagan.  :)

already a ladies man.... we are in trouble!
The Brobee cake.  Yeah... I'm pretty awesome at building cakes.
Connor had an awesome time with his cake!  He was so funny! I think he loved being the center of attention most of all!

The video is not uploading onto the blog . . .  I don't know what the deal is.  I will post it on facebook or if you want me to email it to you I can do that too!

aftermath... yum
All in all, the day was a lot of work, but SO very special!  We are super loved by our family!  We love you guys, thank you for the presents and the love!  [Marie- Connor LOVED your card! He was so excited to see those Yo Gabba Gabba characters!  You are always so thoughtful, I am amazed that you always get cards out to everyone for their life events.  I don't know when you find the time!  Mom- Connor thought that those Yo Gabba Gabba beanie babies were awesome!  He really liked Tootee (the blue one) a ton! Thank you! They came on Saturday right after the party, good timing! :)]
